Why to visit Little India Brickfields
The Indian Quarter in Kuala Lumpur is the best spot outside of India to get a real Indian experience, with small shops selling embroidered scarves, shawls, caps, traditional Indian apparel, spices, purses, perfume, and handicrafts. The cafés and food vendors are worth mentioning because the flavours are delectable and ideal for a brief mid-shopping stop. Don't be scared to get lost in the winding paths; the people are always kind and willing to assist.
India's Little India Brickfields is a world apart from adjacent Bangsar. Brickfields, Malaysia's official Little India, was once a quiet residential neighbourhood just outside of KL, but it has recently been turned into a large street lined with Indian boutiques and eateries managed by the country's Indian minority. Little India Brickfields has been one of KL's signature tourist sites since its metamorphosis, not only because of the items found here, but also due of its proximity to KL Sentral station.
