Why to visit Tirupparankundram Murugan temple
The Tirupparankundram Murugan temple is one of the southern India's most important pilgrimage sites. The temple is a magnificent work of art dedicated to Mother Earth for the blessings it has bestowed on the holy land.

In the front of the temple complex, you can see the 150-foot tall Rajgopuram.

Explore the temple's inside and see the life-size idols of Hindu gods. The stone sculptures on the temple's walls are actually rock engravings.
Take a look at the Lord Shiva carvings on the external stone walls, which depict him in various dance stances.
Within the temple's grounds are wonderfully carved statues of the Nandi bull, Lord Ganesha, and his mooshak.
