Why to visit Chota Imambara

This magnificent monument, located west of Bara Imambara, is a sight to behold. The Chhota Imambara was originally a Shia Muslim meeting hall established by Muhammad Ali Shah, the third Nawab of Awadh, in 1838. The Imambara was to be his mausoleum as well as his mother's, who is buried alongside him in this prominent structure.During significant celebrations, like as Muharram, the Imambara is lavishly decorated with ornaments and chandeliers.

Special Tip

Non-Muslim tourists are not permitted to enter the monument complex's mosque.
