Why to visit USS Midway Museum
The USS Midway, which served as one of the country's aircraft carriers for the majority of the 20th century (1942–1992), is now a museum-on-the-water permanently moored in San Diego Bay near the well-liked downtown Embarcadero waterfront area. Over 13,000 people belong to the museum, which also holds over 700 events annually, including more than 400 active-duty Navy retirements, re-enlistments, and command changes. The museum also hosts 5,000 kids in its overnight programme and another 50,000 pupils on field excursions. Annual midway in San Diego, also known as "Navy Town, USA," is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
