Why to visit Hyde Park
Hyde Park is the most well-known and one of the largest parks in London. The park has a rich history, having held a variety of demonstrations and protests, including Suffragettes events.
Every week, discussions, protests, and performance artists take place in the park's iconic Speaker's Corner. There are various memorial elements throughout the park, as well as two bodies of water, the most well-known of which being the Serpentine. You can go paddle-boating, see a lot of swans, and get some fresh air right in the heart of the city. It's a must-see.
There are additional grounds for sports such as tennis, horseback riding, and others. The park has two lakeside restaurants where you can get anything from a cup of coffee to a full course dinner. The Joy of Life Fountain, Archiles Statue, The Serpentine Bridge, and other intriguing buildings and monuments can be found throughout the park. On Sundays, one can go to the Speaker's Corner to hear the city's most popular orators.
