Why to visit Women Alliance Of Ladakh
Women who were left with nothing to do but tend crops decided to take action in order to preserve their status. They formed the Women's Alliance of Ladakh in 1991 to improve women's position and develop Ladakh's culture and agriculture. Women from over 100 villages have joined forces and begun producing items for sale. Traditional Ladakhi jewellery and Pashmina wool garments are their specialties. The goods are reasonably priced and of excellent quality. Authentic Kashmiri items are highly suggested to be purchased here.
