Why to visit Tso Kar
Tso Kar is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, which draws a large number of bird watchers, especially during migration season. Brahmin ducks, bar-headed geese, and great crested grebes are among the most common birds seen here. The black-necked crane, on the other hand, is the main attraction. Tso Kar attracts black-necked cranes, which are recognised for their loyalty. Only a few yak sheds, a monastery, and a couple of nomadic households may be found in the area. The moonlight makes the vista of the lake even more beautiful at night.
Special Tip
Carry an extra can of fuel because the nearest fuel station in any direction is in Leh or Keylong
