Why to visit Kavaratti Island
Kavaratti is a small island that covers 3.93 square kilometres and is one of the Lakshadweep islands' most stunning treasures. There are 12 atolls, five submerged banks, and three coral reefs on the island. The breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea, as well as the shimmering white-sand beaches, provide refuge in the middle of nature's tranquilly.
Kavaratti, like the other Lakshadweep islands, features nice sandy beaches where visitors can relax. Despite the limited beaches, the lagoons around Kavratti are spectacular, with starfish, anemones, sea cucumbers, a plethora of multicoloured fish, and magnificent corals.
The lagoon, which is located on the west side of the island, is ideal for swimming, kayaking, wind surfing, and canoeing. Chicken Neck Point, located to the south of the island, is an excellent location for water sports such as scuba diving and snorkelling. A glass bottom boat ride allows visitors to see the abundant marine life and a variety of amazing corals.
