Why to visit Konda Reddy Fort

The most important place to visit in Kurnool is Konda Reddy Fort, also known as Kurnool Fort or Kondareddy Buruju. It is located just 2 kilometres from Kurnool railway station. Though much of the fort has been reduced to ruins, it remains one of the town's features and has served as a landmark for Kurnool for centuries. The Vijayanagar Empire's kings constructed the structure. The unassuming structure previously held a tunnel that ran beneath the Tungabhadra river.
