Why to visit Jag Mandir Kota

An incredible piece of architecture built with red sand stone in the grandeur days of Kota, which has became popular tourist destination after it featured in the movie, 'Badrinath ki Dulhania'. The reflections of the exquisite palace, walls and domes in the azure water of the Kishore Sagar Lake are breathtaking. You should especially visit the site in the evening, as the lighting makes this place look even more magical.

This enchanting palace was built in the year 1740. This place was frequented by royals of Kota for relaxation and rejuvenation. One can scarcely believe at the marvellous engineering which made this creation possible amidst in the lake. People also prefer to visit a nearby site named Keshar Bagh, for its alluring, royal cenotaphs.

Special Tip

The best time to visit is in the evening when the lake and palace are transformed into a wonderland with illuminating lights. One can indulge in the boat riding. It is available during the daytime costing INR 100. Double check the price is a good option.
