Why to visit Ukhimath

A small town which is the quest of peace and spirituality. One can savour a resplendent view of Himalayan ranges such as Neelkanth  Kedarnath and Chaukhamba peaks. This location, which sits at a height of 1317m, is also known as Ushamat, which is derived from Banasur's daughter Usha's name. The Omkareshwar temple is the main attraction here, and it is also one of the oldest in the region. In the winter, this location is also known as Lord Kedarnath and Madhyamaheshwar's residence. This location is about 59 kilometres from Kedarnath.

Special Tip

You can also indulge in trekking in this town. The best time to visit the place is in the winter season.
