Why to visit Gondola Ride, Gulmarg
The Gulmarg Gondola is the world's second-longest and second-highest cable car and the main attraction of Gulmarg. It is divided into two parts and transports almost 600 people every hour to and from the Apharwat Mountain, which hosts the majority of Gulmarg's winter activities.
Gulmarg Gondola Phase 1 transports passengers from Gulmarg Resort to Kongdoori Station (middle station). It begins at 2,990 metres and rises 400 metres vertically. Every hour, it transports 1500 passengers to a height of 3100 metres, where there are several easy ski runs. Kongdoori Mountain and Apharwat Peak are connected by Phase 2 of the Gulmarg Gondola. The cable car climbs 1,330 vertical metres to over 4,000 metres and transports 600 people per hour. Following your arrival at the station, you can go on a 30-minute climb to the peak.
The Nanda Devi, LOC, and Pir Panjal ranges may all be seen from the Gulmarg Gondola. Tourists can enjoy horseback riding and snow skiing in addition to admiring the splendour of the Himalayan ranges.
Gulmarg is 20 minutes away from the Gondola's starting point. You can either take a taxi or walk there.
