Why to visit Doodhpathri

In the Indian state of Kashmir, Doodhpathri is a tourist destination and hill station. It is located in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district. At an elevation of 8,957 feet above sea level, it is 42 kilometres from the state summer capital of Srinagar and 22 kilometres from the district headquarters of Budgam.

Hearing this milk, the meadow converted to water and was given the name Doodpathri. The water that is currently running through the meadows has a milky appearance from afar and is extremely chilly all year. The lush green grasses that cover the vast meadows and the silvery streams that run through the massive stones add to the splendour. Sloped grassy landscapes with a variety of rainbow blooms are subject to change in Doodhpathri. To the west of Doodpathri is the famed Tosamaidan.

The term "doodpathri" means "Milk Valley." It is stated that Sheikh ul Aalam Sheikh Noor din Noorani, a famous Kashmiri saint, worshipped here and that once, while searching for water in the meadows to offer prayers, he punctured the earth with his stick to search for water and milk poured out. He requested that the milk be used solely for drinking and not for ablution.
