Jubarhatti Airport in Shimla is the closest airport. Those getting off at the airport in Shimla can then go by rail or road to Barog, which is located approximately 58 kilometres from Shimla. Barog is easily reachable by train because to its well-maintained railway station, which is located on the renowned Kalka-Shimla route.

Why is Barog well-known?

It is a small grave for an engineer by the name of Barog who was tasked with creating a tunnel. He allegedly killed himself because he was unable to build. The projected tunnel was to be the longest in the entire planet.
