Why to visit Amar Mahal Palace
Visit the Amar Mahal to gain an understanding of Jammu and Kashmir's regal heritage. The palace has a magnificent golden throne that weighs 120 kilograms and is situated in a room that is hexagonal in shape. The throne is decorated with golden lions.
The golden throne is carefully protected, and while being housed in a closed room, it can be seen through the panels. Aside from the museum that was once a palace, there is also a nearby art gallery and historic hotel.
Kangra tiny paintings, a library with 25,000 old books, and a priceless collection of valuable art are among the other artefacts on show. The building's darbar hall features artwork of the Dogra emperors.
Moreover, a lift that dates back to the 19th century is there. The Tawi River is sandwiched between the Shivalik Hills, which are located to the north of the Amar Mahal and to the left of the river and offer a beautiful vista.
The ticket office located nearby the museum is where visitors may purchase admission tickets.
