Durga is the principal deity, and it is one of India's 51 Shakti Peethas. The temple was renovated recently, but only minor adjustments were made to the original construction. In addition, a new structure resembling the Amarnath cave has been built within the temple grounds.
You may get a sense of the Temple's mysterious ambiance by walking around its hallowed tank and watching the throngs of devotees.
