Why to visit Amar Jawan Jyoti

It is a monument made of pink sandstone with a black marble pedestal that was primarily constructed as a memorial to the valiant warriors who fought in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War. It has a rifle on its side with a warhead covering it, and there are torches lighting up the area on each of its four corners.

The building is illuminated in the Indian flag's colours in the evening. Here, a cenotaph made of gold commemorates the words uttered by the warriors. Also, there is a bilingual light and sound performance in the evening (English and Hindi).
