Why to visit Istanbul Toy Museum

The Istanbul Toy Museum is an intriguing and attractive collection of toys, some of which date back nearly 200 years, aimed at children. They have a large collection of toys and miniatures, with over 4000 toys and miniatures from Turkey and elsewhere. Aside from the toys, there are antiques that are shown. The museum's first floor was once home to the Eyup Toy Shop, a well-known toy store that closed in the 1950s.

The museum also allows you to look into the fascinating history of the universe and how it came to be. In the space toy section, for example, you may learn about the endeavour to reach the moon, and in the railway toy section, you can learn about the industrial revolution. It's a fantastic place for families to develop their bonds by embarking on a journey through childhood together.

Special Tip

Flash photography is prohibited due to the potential for damage to the artefacts. And the ticket price per person is 13 TL approx.
