Why to visit Gomatgiri Jain Temple

Gomatgiri, a small hillock near Indore, is one of the most popular religious destinations for Jain pilgrims. The hillock, which is only a 10-minute drive from the city's airport, is famous for its nearly 21-foot statue of Gomateshwar. The statue is said to be an exact replica of the Shrawanbegola Bahubali statue. What makes Gomatgiri unique is the presence of 24 marble temples, the beauty of which is enhanced by their shikhars. Each of these stunning temples is dedicated to one of the Jain religion's 24 Tirthankaras. The hillock was surprisingly donated to the Jain Samaj by the M.P government in 1981.

Special Tip

It has canteen facilities that serves varieties of snacks.
