Why to visit Hampi Utsav

The Hampi Utsav, also known as the Vijaya Utsav, is one of the most important festivals in the ancient Vijayanagar empire, which is now Hampi. Every year, at the Virupaksha Temple, events commemorate the culture and traditions of a bygone era. The rich culture of this region is displayed through folk song and dance performances against the backdrop of the magnificently sculpted ruins of Hampi. The Janapada Kalavahini, a folk singing concert, and the light and sound shows are must-see attractions.
