Why to visit Zirayat Baba Reshi

The shrine renowned as the Zirayat of Baba Reshi is devoted to Baba Payam Uddin, a well-known Muslim saint who resided in the fifteenth century and worked as a courtier for Kashmir's then-king Zain-ul-Abidin before renunciating all worldly connections.

In the spot where the saint passed his final days in prayer and meditation, a shrine has been constructed. Today, it is a highly well-liked and frequently visited location by both residents and tourists who come here to pay respects to the Baba's burial, which is now draped in a cloth and ornately adorned.

The three-story structure also has a large minaret in traditional Islamic style. The shrine itself is constructed in a Persian Mughal style. The appeal of the shrine is largely attributed to the notion that those who come here are blessed with the fulfilment of their deepest desires, and afterward, they return to the sacred site to offer thanks and honours to the great saint.

Take Notice !

The grave of the saint usually receives a chaadar (decorated cloth sheet) from pilgrims as a token of respect. A chaadar, which you can also gift to the almighty, is thought to make him happy and instantaneously solve all of your troubles.
