Why to visit Lamgau Buddhist Caves, Goa

The Lamgau Caves are a pair of caves cut out of dissolved laterite, which is a very delicate material. The second Lamgau Cave is significantly bigger than the first. In this cave, there is a stone linga. The tulsi vrindavan and a little nandi Bull are also visible with this stone linga. The opposite cave is much larger and was primarily used as a refuge from the monsoon. It is quite deep and has a labyrinthine passage. Large open cast iron ore mines are located directly above the Lamagau Caves.
