Why to visit Thai Monastery

The Thai monastery, India's one and only Thai temple, was built in 1956. It resembles some of the most famous Buddhist monuments with its sloping curved roofs and golden tiles. The area is serene and peaceful, making it ideal for those wishing to get away from the city.

It is a one-of-a-kind structural marvel due to its Thai architectural resemblances. Even the tiniest details have been meticulously created, making it one of India's most stunning Buddhist pilgrimage destinations. Thousands of people visit the temple each year, with visitors coming from India and neighbouring nations. Lord Buddha, in the form of a 25-foot-tall statue, blesses the monastery with his grace. Various Buddha paintings and carvings express art to its maximum extent.

At night, the temple takes on a distinct aura, often shining brightly. The best time to visit the temple is in the early morning hours. Throughout the year, it is open to the public.

Special Tip

Before entering the inner parts of the main Monastery, it is customary to remove your shoes. It is recommended that you wear loose-fitting respectful clothing and simple sandals.
