Why to visit Magnan

The town of Mangan, which serves as the capital of Sikkim's northern region, is a popular tourist destination, and visitors often utilise it as a starting point for hikes and trips to other parts of the province.

Mangan is one of Sikkim's most important and sparsely populated towns. It is not only the gateway to North Sikkim, but it is also becoming a tourist destination due to the beautiful views of the Kanchenjunga range. Despite its modest size, the town offers a wide range of interesting activities to its tourists, ensuring that no day spent here is wasted. There is enough to do here, from simply staring at the towering mountain peaks to participating in a variety of adventurous activities to immersing yourself in spiritual serenity.

Paragliding, rock climbing, mountain biking, and forest camping are among the adventure activities available, while spiritual retreats may be found at Labrang Gompa, one of Sikkim's most famous monasteries, as well as Phadong Monastery and Tholung Monastery.

Special Tip

It is best to travel with a guide at all times. It is advisable to stroll on approved pathways because the vegetation is vulnerable.
