Why to visit Hanuman Tok

Hanuman Tok is a well-known Gangtok temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman and maintained by the Indian Army. The regal temple, which stands at a height of 7,200 feet, is set against the Kanchenjunga peak, the world's third highest mountain. Hanuman Tok's unique beauty makes you experience it wholeheartedly while keeping you connected to nature. The vista of the massive hills around Gangtok's capital city is mesmerising, and as you reach the top, the snow-capped peaks of Kanchenjunga and the majestic Himalayan range leave you speechless. You can go to Hanuman Tok before 5:00 a.m. to see the sunrise, which is truly breathtaking.

Special Tip

Wear appropriate footwear because the sanctum sanctorum must be walked through barefoot. Also, avoid wearing socks because the spot is almost always moist.
