Goecha La Trek

Entry : free

Address : Goecha La Trek, Sikkim, India

Why to visit Goecha La Trek

The Goechala trek, which climbs to an altitude of 4600 metres, is both difficult and scenic. The intense alpenglow seen on the trail adds to the pleasure of being in the vicinity of such massive peaks. Watching these apparently implacable peaks, particularly Mt. Kanchenjunga, melt into molten gold right in front of your eyes in the early morning sun is an experience that will stay with you for the rest of your life. Long suspension bridges flowing through dense jungles, a quiet monastery at 3000 metres, and a serene mirror-like lake directly below the summit point are just a few of the Goechala Trek's major highlights.

Special Tip

Regardless of the season you are travelling in, make sure you have warm clothing with you.
