Why to visit Banjhakri Falls

Without a doubt, the Banjhakri waterfalls in Sikkim are one of nature's many stunning beauties. The Ranka Monastery is set near a 100-foot waterfall. The park where the waterfalls are located is in Swastik, a densely forested area around seven kilometres from Gangtok. The Banjhakri Falls are a naturally formed cascade that emerges from springs at a higher elevation. Jhakri means "priest" and Ban means "forest." It is one of Sikkim's most popular tourist destinations. The energy park also boasts other notable attractions, like a man-made lake with a dragon at its centre. This location's beautiful ambiance and pleasant appearance make it well worth a visit.

Special Tip

The best time to visit the Banjhakri falls is between October and February, after the monsoon season has ended, because the weather is warm and pleasurable.
