Why to visit Deira Gold Souk

Deira Gold Souk, one of Dubai's most attractive shopping destinations, welcomes you into a world of glitz and glam. There is a wide range of exquisite gold jewellery available, some of which is studded with valuable stones such as rubies, emeralds, and diamonds. Aside from gold, a few stores sell real and well inspected diamonds, pearls, and other precious metals. Because the Dubai government regulates prices, visitors do not need to be concerned about the quality or authenticity of gold. However, the cost is not. The most remarkable aspect of the Dubai Gold Souk that there is no security both within and outside the souk. No one dares to commit such a crime in Dubai since the law is so severe and the fine is so hefty.

The Gold Souk features over 300 retail establishments lined up in this covered market where you may choose from a variety of styles. It is located in Deira, which is part of Dubai's historic district. You will be able to view the market price of gold posted outside the shops in Dirhams while window shopping, and it is regularly updated each time it changes. The range begins with blended 18 carat gold, progressing to 21, 22, and finally pure 24-carat gold. Following your selection of jewellery, the retailer weighs the item and informs you of the pricing. The product's manufacturing costs are also included.

The distance between Dubai International Airport and Dubai Gold Souk is 8.6 kilometres, which takes about 20 minutes to go. From Dubai International Airport, you may easily obtain a metered taxi. It will drop you off along the creek's edge, where Abras (water taxis) routinely cross. Sit in the Abra and travel 1 Dirham to the other side. After exiting the building on the other side, proceed to the Dubai Fish Market and Deira Corniche, which are both close to the Gold Souk.

Special Tip

Be wary of street merchants selling gold and other valuables. They may sell you gold at a lower price, but they do not follow official requirements and hence cannot be labelled as genuine. Also, this location is open from 9.30 a.m. to 9.30 p.m., except on Fridays, when it opens at 4 p.m.,
