Captain Devjibhai Vira Fulbaria, a former merchant navy captain who spent the majority of his life gathering wide kinds of sea shells on his trips, owns and manages the Sea Shell Museum. The gallery is regarded as Asia's largest, with a collection of roughly 2500 to 3000 different varieties of sea shells. It is also believed to be the first museum in the world which provide visitors with magnifying glasses of varied strengths so they may examine the small details of the shells up close.

A spider, scorpion, cockle, abalone, mollusks, and crustacean shells are among the shells on display in the museum. In addition, the museum has a large collection of research materials dedicated to presenting in-depth information about the history of shells.
