Why to visit Gomtimata Beach
Gomtimata Beach, also referred as Vanakbara Beach, is roughly 5 km long and fairly narrow, with the Arabian Sea's waves washing over it, exposing only a short stretch of beach during high waves. The beach is called after the Gomtimata temple, which is an impressive building of variegated marble that can be located right on the beach. It is consecrated to Devi Gomti, the Sage Vashishta's daughter and the Gomti River's eponymous.
The beach is recognised for its peaceful atmosphere, crashing waves, and white beaches. The rocky beach is a great area to watch the sunset, collect sea shells, and get some peace and quiet away from the city. Because to the strong tides, swimming at this beach is not recommended.
