Why to visit Kangra Fort – Historical Place

The Mahabharata mentions the stories surrounding this fort. Apart from mythological references, Kangra Fort has been held by monarchs such as Jahangir and Maharaja Ranjit Singh before being taken over by British overlords after the Sikh War in 1846. A severe earthquake devastated Kangra Valley in 1905, damaging the fort several years later.
