Why to visit Safdarjung's Tomb

The tiny tomb of Safdarjung is one of the many locations in Delhi that draw visitors with its history or charmingness. The magnificent tomb, constructed of marble and sandstone, has withstood the test of time and boasts Mughal architectural design from the 18th century.

The mausoleum, also known as "Safdarjung ka Maqbara," is characterised by its large dome, ornate arches, and detailed architecture, which give it a serene atmosphere and a towering presence.

Entry Fee:

The Safdarjung Tomb is open daily from 7 am to 6 pm.

The state of Delhi is well connected by the metro and government-run buses. Safdarjung Tomb's closest metro station is Jor Bagh Metro, which is located on the yellow line. Nearly 300 metres separate the mausoleum from the subway; you can choose to walk there or rent a battery- or local-powered rickshaw. For a journey that is more comfortable, you can alternatively reserve a taxi.
