Why to visit Rastrapati Bhavan
The President of India's official residence is the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Viceroy's House was its intended usage when it was first constructed.
It is one of the largest mansions of any head of state in the world, with 340 rooms in the main edifice taking up 5 acres on a 330-acre estate.
Three different tour circuits, including a first circuit, second circuit, and third circuit, allow guests access to the building. All three of them are open for tours.
Things to see around Rashtrapati Bhavan:
- The Rashtrapati Bhavan's design, which is attributed to British architects, primarily conveys Mughal architectural styles combined with classical and opulent European trademarks.
- Additionally, there are expanses of vegetable, legume, and other food source production as well as a beautifully maintained bonsai garden.
- The Rashtrapati Bhavan is home to some magnificent halls, including the Durbar Hall, Ashoka Hall, Marble Hall, North Drawing Room, and Nalanda Suite.
- Watch 3D hologram films of the nation's leaders to experience walking with Lord Irwin beside Mahatma Gandhi in virtual reality!
- The museum is home to a vintage presidential buggy and a vintage Mercedes that the King of Jordan gave to President Rajiv Gandhi.
