Moti Daman is home to the Cathedral of Bom Jesus. This church is devoted to Bom Jesus, as the name implies. The church was built in 1559 and consecrated in 1603. When the Portuguese first arrived, this church was solely a place of worship for priests. It is a wonderful example of Portuguese artisans' spectacular design and exquisite craftsmanship.
