Why to visit Church of Bom Jesus

Moti Daman is home to the Cathedral of Bom Jesus. This church is devoted to Bom Jesus, as the name implies. The church was built in 1559 and consecrated in 1603. When the Portuguese first arrived, this church was solely a place of worship for priests. It is a wonderful example of Portuguese artisans' spectacular design and exquisite craftsmanship. It is a one-of-a-kind architectural design that combines elements of Portuguese and Roman architecture.

A golden platform made of wood, finely carved doors, ornate motifs in the inside, valuable stone encrusted on the large inner ceilings, and masterpieces of shimmering wood are among the church's main attractions. Tourists flock to this location to see the statue of six saints. It is masterfully sculpted out of a specific Roman Catholic architectural tradition. A big number of believers travel from local and far-flung locations to attend.
