There is no rail connection. Once you get to Coorg, you can take a bus or a cab wherever it's most convenient for you to go. By way of NH 275, Coorg and Harangi Dam are separated by 33 kilometres. A bus or cab is the preferred means of transportation. Walking is prohibited on this street. Only 33.0 km on NH 275 separates Coorg from Harangi Dam, and travel time there is around 45 minutes. The toll booths on this road are numerous. Buses travel along Guddemane Appaiah Gowda Road from Stuart Hill to NH 275.

When is the best time to visit Harangi Dam?

August to September are the ideal months to visit the dam. At this point, the reservoir is entirely submerged in water, producing the ideal scene.

Visiting this location is highly recommended, especially during the rainy season. When the four dam gates are all open, you'll feel wonderful. To avoid rush hour or congestion, you can park your car a little distance away but not too close to the dam. There are no food or water options close to the dam at this location therefore, bring food in case you decide to remain longer.
