The HAL Heritage Centre and Aerospace Museum at Old Airport Road, which opened its doors in 2001, is India's first aerospace museum and a fascinating destination to visit to learn about the history of flight and aviation. Even some simulators are available for you to test out for a brief experience of being a pilot.

What not to miss?

  • Gallery: The museum's exhibition area is divided into two halls where objects are displayed. You can see every development in aeronautics, aviation, and aerospace engineering in the first hall. 

You will have the opportunity to view real models of numerous old and new aircraft, their components, engines, and much more in the second hall. 

You can witness actual aeroplanes with names like KIRAN, AJEET, CANBERRA, MARUT, HT-2, LAKSHAY, MIG - 21, and many others at the outdoor aircraft exhibit.

  • Sustainability Development Park: This museum has a park inside of it that tries to educate visitors about sustainable resources. The solar panel system, biogas plant, and hybrid windmills are just a few of the excellent models found in this park.
  • Flight Simulator: Another interesting item is located inside the museum. A simulator game is available in this museum. Playing this game will allow you to simulate flying an aeroplane.
