Why to visit Badrinath Temple

Badrinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is located near the Alaknanda River on the Garhwal hill ranges. It is one of India's most popular pilgrimages and one of the four Char Dham and Chota Char Dham pilgrimage yatras. It holds Lord Vishnu's black stone idol.The Badrinath Temple, which stands at a height of 10,279 feet, is said to have been founded by the saint Adi Shankaracharya. The temple holds a 1m tall black stone idol of Lord Vishnu, which is one of Vishnu's eight swayam vyakta kshetras (self-manifested statues).
