The Atlanta History Center offers a realistic perspective of early American society, particularly during the Civil War. The United States' largest collection of Civil War artefacts Only five displays were present when the Atlanta History Center first opened its doors in 1993. But over time, this number has considerably increased. The 33-acre campus of the Atlanta History Center includes Swan House, Smith Farm, and Wood Family Cabin, among other historic homes and gardens. The Margaret Mitchell House & Museum is located on the Midtown Campus of the Atlanta History Center.
