Summer Season (March-May)

Summer is the greatest time to visit Haridwar if you want to participate in the celebrations. Summer festivals such as Ramanavami, Kanwar Mela, and the Kumbh Mela are held when the days are hot but the evenings are pleasant. If all you want to do is go sightseeing, winter is a nice time because the sun isn't as severe.

Monsoon Season (July-September)

Haridwar receives moderate rainfall, which contributes to the city's increased humidity. Even if there isn't much rain, collapses and blocked roads can occur. Visiting the town during these three months is not recommended.

Winter Season (October-February)

From October through February, the greatest time to visit Haridwar is during the winter, when the city greets visitors with a pleasant, crisp climate. The sun cheerfully shines on your back, making the daytime ideal for touring the area or bouncing from one temple to the next.

Shanti Kunj- Ayurveda's Origins

Many people are unaware that Haridwar's Shanti Kunj is the cradle of all herbal and Aryuvedic materials. All ayurvedic medicines that move across the country and around the world are created here. It also houses Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Yogpeeth, a research institute and yoga institute.

Shiva lingam made of mercury

In Haridwar, there is a Shiva-lingam made of mercury at the Pardeshwar Mahadev Temple. A mercury Shiva-lingam is quite rare to come across.

Host to famous Yoga ashrams

Haridwar is also home to the world's most famous yoga centre. It is made up of exceptional yoga ashrams, and reservations must be made in advance.

Rope serves as a mode of conveyance

In Haridwar, a large ropeway lifts many worshipers to the hilltop temple known as Mansa Devi. This temple is on one of the Shakti pilgrimages in India.
