5. Go Birdwatching at Asan Barrage 


Asan Barrage is one of the top things to do in Dehradun and is located 32 km west of the city. Every year, thousands of birds of hundreds of species flock to its waters, including some of the world's most uncommon and endangered bird species. It is also known as Dhaulipur Lake. A shopping centre is located near the Assan Barrage. In the wild, you can see mallards and red crested pochards swimming.
